22nd Street Caltrain Station

This past Saturday the nice folks at Caltrain spent a day cutting down the overgrown areas and doing general station maintains on the site. From what I could see they were there for the bulk of the day and removed all of the trash, weeds and general debris of the station.

I spoke to the site 'Watchman' who looks out for the work crew as they wield their machete and gas-powered weedeaters, and he alluded to more upcoming improvements to the station:
  • Paving of rock / dirt paths
  • Replacement of Plexiglas 'windows' on shelters with graffiti resistant screens
  • replacement of wooden staircases on North / Southbound sides
  • On-going graffiti removal

He also mentioned that if you notice something at the station that should be fixed, replaced, cleaned up etc. you can call this number to report it: 1-800-872-4660

It's high time they fixed this station (especially with the increased foot traffic since it is now a baby bullet stop). Someone is going to injure themselves on the stairs and sue them otherwise.
