Assault on Arkansas Street - Fri, June 3rd

"Very disturbing news for you all. We live right on Arkansas right below the rec center and my parents this morning at 11am were going to the music class at the rec center with my baby. Two african american men came up to my parents right in front of our house. One pushed my dad on the ground and started to beat him. The other held a knife against my mom's stomach. They wanted money. My mom fled, running with the stroller. She screamed for help and a carpenter across the street ran over. The two assailants fled. We called the police and they came and took a police report. My mom and my baby is fine, but my Dad has some bruises on his arms and we're all shaken up emotionally.

These could have been the same two guys who tried to assault Lauren when she was going to the music class with her baby. My parents said that the assailants seemed to have been waiting for someone to walk by at that hour."
