Potrero Hill Pursesnatch Series

Captain Rick Bruce notes in today's police report:

"There have been at least five robberies in the Potrero Hill area, going back to April 22, that are similar in suspect descriptions provided. A gun was used in two of the cases, and a knife was used in two other cases. The suspects are described as black males, 16-23, 5'7" to 5'9", thin builds (numerous case numbers)."

Also reported in today's police report:

June 17, 10:15 a.m., a male reported to Bayview officers that he was robbed while working at a job site at Wisconsin and Missouri. The suspects are two black males, 20-22 (050 676 140).

June 18, 9:15 p.m., a cabbie was picking up a fare on the 600 block of Connecticut when two suspects approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. Suspect one is black male, 26-31, 5'7", 145, wearing a black "Gap" sweatshirt and red sweatpants. Suspect two is a black male, 5'6", 150, wearing a black sweatshirt with hood, black sweatpants, and white tennis shoes (050 682 385).

Another pursesnatch:
Robbery, 1434 18th Street, June 20, 1:52 p.m.
Bayview Officers Dicroce and Doherty responded on the call of a pursesnatch and spoke with a woman who reported that as she was about to get onto a Muni bus, a male suspect grabbed her purse and broke it free of her grip. The suspect then fled on foot with the purse.  The suspect is a black male, 17-19, 5'8", 150, corn row hair with shoulder length braids, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jean pants (050 688 543).

Robbery, 685 Arkansas, June 22, 8:23 p.m.
Bayview Officers Bayview Officers Cruz and Festa spoke with a man who reported to them that on June 18 he was walking with his parents on Arkansas when they were approached by two suspects who demanded their money.  The suspects simulated weapons by reaching into their waistbands, but the victim refused to give any money and swung a plastic bag containing a carton of milk at the suspects.  A neighbor came out of a home and the suspects fled when the victim asked the neighbor to phone the police. There was no loss and the suspects fled on foot.  Suspect one is a black male, 19-21, 5'10", 170, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.  Suspect two is a black male, 19-21, 5'11", 170, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt (050 698 768).
