Elephant Hill?

pohi
No, your eyes are not deceiving you. That's a huge elephant painted onto the water tower which soars above the hill. Well ... it's actually an artist's rendition for a proposal - to transform the tower into a temporary work of public art.

The Potrero Heights Water Tower is scheduled to be removed within six months, as part of water department upgrades. Local painter David Ultan and designer Steve Muller are hoping to transform the water tower into an elephant named 'Pohi' (for Potrero Hill) during its final days atop the hill.

Although I think a giant goat would be more historically appropriate, I still love the idea of a giant elephant.

Yes! Olliphant for elephants! Or, perhaps we should just paint "Drink Me" atop the tower?
