Of Auto Smashing

Mike S. tooks photos and informed us that 2 cars were heavily vandalized this morning. A two seat sports car (pictured here) parked on 20th and Arkansas had it's windows smashed in and the door handle wrecked. The tow truck driver Mike spoke to informed him that a Mercedes on Wisconsin St. De Haro and Southern Heights was also vandalized.

This appears to be a crime of destruction as opposed to an auto boost.

Update 7/27/05
Turns out both cars were Mercedes CLKs. The one parked on De Haro street had the front, back, and driver's side window smashed in. Nothing was taken.

A witness has posted the following to the message boards:

"We were alerted to the the clk smashing from the loud strange noise and called the police when it happened. It happened at about 1:40 in the morning and there were about 3 guys who jumped out of a car and started bashing the car. They then jumped in the car and bolted."
