Potrero Hill Book - Arcadia Publishing

The book was written by Peter Linenthal and Abigail Johnston. Peter directs the Potrero Hill Archives Project, a collection of photographs, oral histories, and ephemera relating to the neighborhood. Abigail, a publishing industry veteran, is the managing editor of The Potrero View, the neighborhood’s monthly newspaper.
Abby had this to say about the book:
"It’s 128 pages, and has 221 photos. It covers Hill history from the Ohlone days, through the Mission era (when the Hill served as pastureland for Mission Dolores’s grazing animals) and the bustling years of industry along the waterfront, up to the present day. Many of our images are ones that Hill residents have donated to the Potrero Hill Archives Project (of which Peter is the director and I’m his associate) over the past 25 years, but some are photos quite new to us that we believe have never been published before. We’re quite excited about one in particular – a panorama of the fire following the 1906 e’quake taken from the Hill."
Books will also be available at the 6th Annual Potrero Hill History Night happening on Oct 22nd at Enola Maxwell School.

Wow, my friend Max Grinnell wrote the one on Hyde Park in Chicago. Didn't realize it was part of a series.
