Events on the Hill
RoadworksPaul Madonna will be featuring drawings from his comic strip 'All Over Coffee' at Farley's, with a reception at 7pm.
Saturday
The San Francisco Center for the Book hosts a fundraiser / block party on Carolina Street between 15th and 16th from 10am - 4pm. Prints will be made on site using a steamroller. The festivities continue from 4:30 - 7:30pm with a cocktail party, a live auction of steam-roller prints and a silent auction of other bookworks.
Cory Combs and Friends peform at Farley's at 2pm. The San Francisco Bass Trio, featuring Cory Combs on bass and cello, Drew Waters on Bass and Jason Muscat on Bass will be playing a combination of originals, Brazilian classics and old swing tunes.
Webzine 2005, a real world, face-to-face celebration of independent publishing on the Internet. happens this weekend. This event doesn't take place on the Hill, however I'll be representing Potrero Hill on the neighborhood blogging panel happening on Sunday, 3pm. Dear Mike: How was Webzine today? I've been working, marching and partying (in that order) and didn't want to go inside particularly. Still, it looked like an interesting group of smart people were involved, at least from last night's party.
