Events on the Hill

Events for Potrero HillYouth at the Neighborhood House
Thursday
Experiment in Diversity presents 'Back to School Night' at the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House (953 De Haro @ Southern Heights).

Youth participating in this program are considered 'Hard to Serve' and are currently in the Juvenile Justice system, have potential of falling into the system, out of school or failing while in school.

They'll be serving up a free community spaghetti dinner starting at 5:30 pm, and will be speaking about their first month back to school.

Thinkers Cafe hosts a photography reception from 6 - 8pm. There will be food and drink (free). Potrero hill residents Greta and Manu Schnetzler are amongst the photographers showing work.

Sunday
San Francisco City Guides will be offering a free history tour of Dogpatch and Potrero Point. Join Potrero Hill residents Natalie and Sina on a tour exploring historic working class cottages and industrial age relics to the current proliferation of ultra-modern lofts. You’ll explore the past and present of this surprising, eclectic neighborhood in transition in a 2 hour walking tour.

Meet at 18th Street & Tennessee, 11 am.

Also on Sunday Oct 16, the SF City Guides will be hosting their annual fundraiser. This year's theme is the Great Gold Rush Adventure. It's a kind of a scavenger hunt that will take you to places historic, interesting, unusual or - in some cases - all three! And you'll find them all in the heart of Gold Rush San Francisco - along the bay front downtown. Click here for more details.
