Bistro 350

bistro_350
The San Francisco Chronicle recently reviewed Bistro 350, a new restaurant in Potrero Hill:

The cuisine: French bistro. Seasonal menu with starters like steamed mussels, and duck and pork rilettes. Entrees include seafood and pasta specials that change daily, braised lamb shank cassoulet or seared scallops with leek compote. Desserts change daily.

The team: This is the California Culinary Academy's newest student-run restaurant, at the school's new Potrero Hill location.

The vibe: Located on the building's first floor, the large, contemporary space holds upward of 175 patrons. Green and gold tones are lit by hanging lanterns and accented by dramatic draped curtains.

Bistro 350, 350 Rhode Island (at 16th Street), San Francisco; (415) 216-4329. Lunch, dinner Tuesday-Friday. Full bar. Reservations accepted. Starters, $4-$7; entrees, $12-$20; desserts, $3.50.

We work around the corner, so tried it out. The price is AWESOME, and the food was good. Two out of three steaks were overcooked, and even though we had one hundred and twenty waiters helping us it took quite awhile. All that being said, we were expecting just that so had a wonderful dining experience and three cheers for the students at CCA. Thanks, Chris
