According to Pat Gallagher, president of Giants Enterprises, the concert producers had agreed to realign the speakers for the second of two shows held on Tuesday. He also expressed the Giants desire to be good neighbors, but added 'I don't think we can say that you're not going to hear the concert in some of the neighborhoods.'
Bob Davis, executive director of the Entertainment Commission (which issued the sounds permit), echoed similar sentiments stating 'The city wants to be friendly to concerts, but not to the detriment of the citizens.'
Jim Meko, a member of the Entertainment Commission said he would call for a hearing to review the sounds permits for SBC Park. He wanted to see if changes were necessary to better balance the goal of fostering a vibrant climate for entertainment with the needs of the residents.

". . . better balance the goal of fostering a vibrant climate for entertainment with the needs of the residents." What needs??? Oh, the need not to be blasted out of your house? The need not to have a bunch of idiots "regulating" the sound so nobody from P. Hill to Noe Valley can escape the music? The need to enforce the noise ordinance, even if it is the Stones? Why doesn't somebody who is supposed to have some authority over entertainment just tell the truth: It was too d*** loud. Naaahhhhh ---- big money gets the nod every time to do what they want, collect the cash, get out of town and laugh laugh laugh at how the rules don't really apply when you're a big shot.
