Icer Air 2005 shared irrevrence and inspiration with some of the great Cacophony Society events of the past. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cacophony_Society). Moving to Pete MacGowan's house means stands instead of streets, $7 beers, and certain amount of safe sterility. What is missing is the actual wish-fufillment for all those city residents who dreamed of barrelling down SF's steep streets on a snowboard or skis. Last year, SF felt like Lillehammer, Norway for a change. It was ridiculous. Some ramp set up in a baseball park makes it just another corporate event. ICER AIR will become everything big air. Come fly with us. We are all core skiers and know what is good for the sport and what is good for SF. Middle fingers to the sky with a smile on our faces. There's just no comparison. If you didn't get the big bucks, then I guess you can say "sell-out" is an inappropriate term, but nobody can contest the fact that the original feel of a neighborhood ski jump has been diluted beyond recognition.
