Trespass on public housing
Bayview Plainclothes Officers Aherne, Fitzpatrick, and Dejesus were in an unmarked vehicle in the Potrero Hill housing developments when they saw a man standing in front of a residence that they did not recognize. Having worked in the area for several years, the officers believed that the man may have been trespassing. “No Trespassing” signs are prominently posted throughout the development. The officers stopped an detained the man. The man had no ID, but gave them a name. A record check of the name revealed no arrest record or DMV record. The man said that he was visiting his grandmother. The officers spoke with the grandmother who said that the name the man was using was her 12 year old grandson’s name. This man was 21 years old and she did not know him. The officers transported the man to Bayview Station where his true name was discovered. The man had an outstanding felony narcotics warrant for his arrest.
